Install the Chrome extension

WhatsApp Auto Translate & Call Recorder runs inside Google Chrome on WhatsApp Web — no desktop app required. Install once, then every chat gets translation, recording, and export tools.

  1. Install from the Chrome Web Store (or load unpacked from your developer build).
  2. Pin the extension icon in the Chrome toolbar for quick access.
  3. Open https://web.whatsapp.com and scan the QR code with your phone.
  4. Wait for the green “Connected to WhatsApp” banner in the extension popup.

Activate your license key

All premium features require a valid Chrome extension license from WhatSender Pro. Paste your key in the License tab and click Activate license — not Verify first.

  1. Click the extension icon → open the License tab (key icon in the sidebar).
  2. Paste the license key from your purchase email.
  3. Click Activate license (purple button) to bind this browser.
  4. Refresh WhatsApp Web (Ctrl+Shift+R) after activation.
  5. Use Verify license only after activation — it re-checks an already saved key.
Transfer to a new PC?

Use “Transfer to new browser / PC” in the License tab. Admin approval may be required if max devices is reached.

Live translation in chat bubbles

When Auto-translate is ON, translation lives inside each bubble — original text on top, a lavender GB ENGLISH bar with Listen, then the English translation below. Works for Hindi incoming, Spanish outgoing, and 100+ languages.

  1. Open WhatsApp Web — the toolbar shows Auto Translate ON (purple pill).
  2. Incoming Hindi message inside the bubble → lavender GB ENGLISH bar + “Hey friend, how are you?”
  3. Your Spanish reply (Ok te proporcionaré) → “Ok I will provide you” in the same bubble.
  4. Click Listen on any card to hear the translation read aloud (text-to-speech).
  5. Use Translate Chat (blue) to batch-translate older messages in the open chat.

Translation settings

Choose your language, enable outgoing translation, and control the Listen button — all from the extension Settings tab.

  1. Settings → Translate to: pick your language (e.g. GB English).
  2. Toggle Auto-translate incoming to show cards on every new message.
  3. Enable Also translate outgoing messages to see translations under messages you send.
  4. Turn on Listen button on incoming translations for text-to-speech playback.
  5. Click Save settings (green) — changes apply immediately on WhatsApp Web.

Smart compose — translate before send

Type in your language, press Enter, and the extension sends the message in your contact's language.

Type & send in their language

Smart compose intercepts Send and Enter so you can write naturally in your language while your contact receives a perfect translation. Auto-detect reads the last incoming message to guess Hindi, Portuguese, Arabic, and more.

  1. Enable Translate before sending in Settings → Smart compose.
  2. Turn on Auto-detect contact language from chat for automatic target language.
  3. Optional: Auto-send after translate — off lets you review before sending.
  4. Press Enter to translate & send · Shift+Enter for a new line.
  5. Use the green translate icon inside the message box for manual compose translation.

Transcript voice notes in one click

Every voice message gets Transcript and Translate buttons. Click Transcript to run local Whisper AI — the text appears in a panel you can copy, minimize, or listen to.

  1. Hover a voice message — Transcript and Translate pills appear below it.
  2. Click Transcript — first use downloads ~75 MB Whisper model once.
  3. Read the TRANSCRIPT panel — copy, minimize, or use the speaker icon.
  4. Click Translate on the transcript to convert to your language.

Whisper language settings

Enable voice message transcript in Settings and pick a default language if auto-detect is wrong for your contacts.

  1. Settings → enable Voice message transcript (Whisper base).
  2. Set Voice note language to Auto detect or a fixed language.
  3. Max 5-minute voice notes per transcription.
  4. Open Feature Guide in Settings for troubleshooting tips.

Export chat dialog

Click Export Chat in the WhatsApp toolbar or extension popup. Choose HTML for a beautiful archive or CSV for spreadsheets. Filter by message range and include transcripts, voice, images, and docs.

  1. Open a chat on WhatsApp Web.
  2. Click Export Chat (indigo pill in toolbar) or use the popup button.
  3. Pick Format: HTML (beautiful archive) or CSV (spreadsheet rows).
  4. Choose Range: All loaded (up to 5,000) or Last 500 messages.
  5. Toggle INCLUDE filters: Transcripts, Voice, Images, Videos, Docs.
  6. Click Download — file saves to your Downloads folder.

Audio & video call recording

Record WhatsApp calls directly in the browser — floating controls with live timers.

Record voice calls

During an active WhatsApp voice call, the WhatSender Pro control bar appears bottom-left and a Record audio pill floats on the right. The timer shows elapsed time — click Stop audio to save locally.

  1. Start or receive a WhatsApp voice call on web.whatsapp.com.
  2. Extension detects the call — the red Record audio pill appears.
  3. Click Record audio to start — timer counts up on the pill.
  4. Click Stop audio when finished — file is stored in browser + Downloads/WA-Recordings/.
  5. Enable Show record buttons on calls in the Audio tab of the popup.

Video call recording

Video calls capture both sides of the conversation. The in-call window shows your contact and a picture-in-picture preview while recording runs.

  1. Join a video call on WhatsApp Web.
  2. Click Record video — timer counts up on the purple pill.
  3. Click Stop video to end capture.
  4. Review in popup → Video calls tab → Open fullscreen player.

Audio call recordings library

All saved audio calls appear in the extension popup under Audio calls. Play inline, download to disk, or delete old files.

  1. Open extension popup → Audio calls tab (speaker icon).
  2. Play any recording with the built-in audio player.
  3. Click Save to export to Downloads.
  4. Click X to remove from local storage.

Video call recordings library

Video recordings include a preview player and fullscreen mode. Manage files the same way as audio — play, save, or delete.

  1. Open extension popup → Video calls tab (camera icon).
  2. Preview the recording in the embedded player.
  3. Click Open fullscreen player for a larger view.
  4. Save or delete recordings from the list.

Analytics dashboard

The Analytics tab shows live stats: total messages (incoming/outgoing), time spent in chats, call count, and total call duration. Call logs list every saved recording with date and Saved badge.

  1. Open extension popup → Analytics tab (chart icon).
  2. View Messages, Chat Time, Total Calls, and Call Duration cards.
  3. Scroll to CALL LOGS for audio/video entries with timestamps.
  4. Data stays on your device — nothing is sent to our servers.

Sidebar navigation

The extension popup uses a dark sidebar with five icons. Settings is the main control center; License manages activation; Analytics, Audio, and Video tabs manage recordings and stats.

Common questions

Does the extension work without a license?

No — all features require an active Chrome extension license. Activate your key in the License tab before using translate, export, recording, or analytics.

Is my WhatsApp data sent to the cloud?

No separate API subscriptions needed — your Chrome extension license covers built-in translation, voice transcripts, and recording. Pay the extension plan once and use every feature until expiry.

Can I use my WhatSender Pro desktop license?

Desktop (WSP-*) and Chrome extension licenses are separate products. You need a Chrome extension license key issued from the extension product in our license system.

Where are call recordings saved?

Recordings are stored in Chrome local storage and copied to your Downloads/WA-Recordings/ folder when you click Save.
