Export chats

Download conversations from WhatsApp Web.

Export Chat dialog

Click Export Chat in the WhatsApp toolbar or extension popup. Choose format, range, and what to include.

  1. Open the chat to export on web.whatsapp.com.
  2. Click Export Chat (indigo pill) in the toolbar.
  3. Pick Format: HTML or CSV.
  4. Choose Range: All loaded or Last 500 messages.
  5. Toggle INCLUDE: Transcripts, Voice, Images, Videos, Docs.
  6. Click Download — file saves to Downloads.

Analytics & call logs

The Analytics tab shows message counts, time in chat, call statistics, and a call log with saved recordings — all stored locally.

  1. Extension popup → Analytics tab.
  2. View Messages, Chat Time, Total Calls, Call Duration cards.
  3. Scroll to CALL LOGS for recording timestamps.

Frequently asked questions

What formats can I export WhatsApp chats to?

HTML for a styled readable archive, or CSV for spreadsheet analysis. Both can include translation text and voice transcripts when toggled.

How many messages can I export at once?

Up to 5,000 loaded messages with “All loaded”, or the last 500 with that range option. Scroll up in the chat to load older messages before exporting.

Are exported chats uploaded anywhere?

No — export runs in your browser and downloads directly to your computer.
